Hi, I’m Katherine (Kat) Palms. For over a decade, I’ve worked in the well-being space helping people slow down, release stress, and reconnect with themselves through mindful movement, breathwork, and intentional living. Along the way, one truth became unmistakably clear: true well-being doesn’t begin on a retreat or happen from taking one class—it begins and continues at home.
My journey into wellness started in 2012 after a head injury playing college lacrosse led me to yoga and meditation as powerful tools for healing. What began as personal recovery became a lifelong calling to support others in building sustainable, supportive lifestyles—ones that nourish the nervous system, the body, and everyday life.
I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Costa Rica and continued my studies in India under direct students of T.K.V. Desikachar. Over the years, my holistic approach has expanded to include Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Ayurveda, Somatic Experiencing, Barre, Pilates, Qi Gong, and modern mobility techniques. Each class I teach is designed to be accessible and practical—supporting stress relief, nervous system health, and long-term mobility—so you leave feeling grounded, open, and recharged.
Beyond weekly classes, I founded The Well-Being Retreat, a retreat company offering immersive, thoughtfully curated experiences in places like Sedona, Greece, Sicily, and Michigan’s Leelanau Peninsula. These retreats are designed to help you step out of routine, reconnect with yourself, and return home with clarity—not as an escape from life, but as a way to strengthen how you live it.
Today, my work has expanded into wellness-centered real estate. As a Realtor®, I view the home as the foundation of well-being—a place that supports rest, rhythm, health, and real life. I’m passionate about helping people find and create homes that truly support their lifestyle, while continuing to lead retreats through The Well-Being Retreat as deeper, more intentional experiences that complement everyday living. Well-being isn’t something you visit once a year. It’s something you live—starting at home.
If you’re ready to reconnect with yourself, rediscover your energy, and create space for what truly matters, I’d be honored to guide you on that journey.
